Claudia's maternal 4th-great grandparents were Charles GRIGG (1745 - 1807) and Elizabeth CORNISH (1750-1836). Both were baptized and buried in the town of Kilkhampton in Cornwall, very close to the Devon border on the northwest shore. However, they were married in Hartland Cornwall which is the name given to the whole coastal area to the west and north of Kilkhampton. The town of Hartland itself is to the north within the Bideford area of Devon. Charles and Elizabeth settled in Kilkhampton where they raised their 11 children. Charles wrote a will in 1807 just before dying at the age of 61 when his younger children were still at home. Elizabeth lived another 29 year.

And their daughter Maria CORNISH married a BOUNDY, whose daughter Dorcas married married a McDONALD (also spelled MacDONALD), whose daughter Bertha married a CLARK whose son Charles Bruce CLARK married my mother's sister Harriet ANDREW.
I have posted some photos from this line on a separate McDonald page, along with more details on the descent of my Uncle Charles Bruce CLARK
