HAYWARD Genealogy
The HAYWARD family of Kent, England are distant ancestors of Terry. They most recently enter Terry's paternal BOORMAN pedigree on 27 May 1684 when Elizabeth HAYWARD (1655-1731) married Thomas Boorman (1667-1698) in Wadhurst, Sussex England. They were Terry's 7-times-great grandparents.
Elizabeth's parents were Robert HAYWARD (1622-1684) and Margaret BOORMAN (1618-1676). We do not yet know how or if her mother Margaret was related to her husband Thomas, but it seems very likely as they both have the surname BOORMAN. If so, there is a double connection to the HAYWARD family.
This HAYWARD line has been traced back 1 more generation only. We believe that Robert was the youngest son of John HAYWARD (c1580-1628?) and his second wife Ursula PETER (1588- ), both of Cranbrook, Kent. Robert may have had 3 full siblings and 4 half siblings.
I have not yet published a HAYWARD tree as all but the earliest generation is already covered in the BOORMAN trees, and I have not yet traced many of the side HAYWARD branches. The descendants of Thomas BOORMAN and Elizabeth HAYWARD can be found in either the Boorman #1 or Boorman #2 tree, as linked below.
